She was born September 21, 1921 in Shelbyville, Indiana, the daughter of Morris Glenn and Eva Mural (Thurston) Cole.  On May 15, 1943 she married Ralph Thomas “Chub” Cord and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1992.

June is survived by her dear friend Vern Havens, sons Thomas J. Cord and wife Joyce of Greenwood, John D. June was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, St. Joe Social Club and a member of the choir for many years.

June loved being a housewife and raising her five children. She and Ralph enjoyed golf, fishing and traveling.  June relished her poker nights with her girlfriends. Jane,
So sorry to read about your mother's passing. I have enjoyed visiting with her these past few years whenever I was at Ashford, and hearing her and my mom's stories about when they played together as kids. Now they can continue their visits in heaven. We were both fortunate to have them with us for so many years, but it leaves us so empty when they are gone. I know these past few months have been difficult, and admire you for all you did for her. Please express my condolences to Vern as well. May she rest in peace.
